• Keep hand sanitizer and
protective gloves in
customer facing areas and
back office areas of the
BMEU at all times.
• Limits the transfer of hazards from
customer, mailings, or documentation
to employee
• Similar to customer service,
ensure lines are on the floor
marking to create a queue
for customers to stand.
• Limit customers in the
customer service area of
BMEU at any given time.

• A taped queue should be created that
develops a 6 ft. minimum social
distancing between customers.
• There should be no more than 10
customers in the BMEU lobby at one
time.
• Sneeze guard
comes in three
pieces (shield & two feet)
• Assemble feet to sneeze
guard
• Place on counter where
employees interact with
customers.
• Keep in place for employee
& customer interaction.

clerk/custodians

bottom for Postage Statements,
payments, and other documentation
to be safely handed back and forth
• When going to breaks or
lunch employees should
properly dispose of gloves,
wash hands and use hand
sanitizer.
• Ensure there is social
distancing during lunch and
breaks

distancing at the time clock
• Practice Good Respiratory
Etiquette and Hygiene
• After contact immediately wash hands
for 20 seconds and use hand sanitizer
to minimize risk of exposure.
• Regularly wash hands while in office
• Cough and sneeze into your elbow
• Discard tissues immediately
• No sharing of office supplies (pens,
scissors, etc.)
